Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities are equipped to produce high quality composites with precision and repeatability. Our manufacturing engineering/ methods team possesses deep know how of various manufacturing processes using composites materials and metals. Methods team conceptualizes the manufacturing processes to deliver finished components that meet the most stringent industry standards.
With capabilities in hand layup, vacuum bagging, filament winding, resin transfer moulding and autoclave curing, we can manufacture complex geometries and large-scale structures to meet the specific requirements of our customer’s applications.
Our production process is integrated, from design to manufacturing, testing and certification, ensuring that our customers receive top-quality products that meet their exact specifications. Whether you need a prototype or a full-scale production run, Merlinhawk Composites’ Production Plant can handle it with precision and efficiency.
Materials
We utilise a diverse range of high-performance materials including carbon fiber, glass fiber, aramid, Innegra, Rohacell and Dyneema and hybrid composites. Our portfolio also features advanced resin systems such as epoxy, phenolic and vinyl ester as well as specialised core materials and sandwich structures.
Departments and Work Environment
Our world-class composite manufacturing facility is a purpose built, climate-controlled environment designed to manufacture high tech composite components with consistency and flexibility for our customers. The facility is located at Tamil Nadu Defence Corridor in SIPCOT- Shoolagari near Hosur city in South India.
The manufacturing facility is equipped with following state-of-the-art facilities:-
- Two ISO Class 8 certified clean rooms with controlled temperature and humidity to ensure direct management of critical quality parameters for the finished composite products
- Cold room for storage of critical materials
- Humidity controlled wet layup facility
- Segregated painting facility
- Trimming and buffing facility
- Lamination facility
- Pre-preg storage and preparation facility
- Mould preparation and storage facility
- Quality assurance laboratory
- Assembly and inspection facility
Equipment
Our facility is equipped with advanced machinery and equipment including computer controlled cutting machines and precision machining with 5 axis CNC machines. Additionally, we utilise specialised equipment like autoclaves, ovens/ furnaces, pre-preg cutting machine, freezers, CMM machine and laser scanner and tracker to ensure precise control over the manufacturing process and deliver top quality composite components.
